Values
Preserve culture in the world from the baser elements the devalue and undermine it. This includes the arts and arcana, but more than anything 'Xenia': the moral obligations of hospitality. Institutionalized relationship rooted in generosity, gift exchange, and reciprocity.
The rituals of hospitality created and expressed a reciprocal relationship between guest and host expressed in both material benefits (e.g. gifts, protection, shelter) as well as non-material ones (e.g. favors, certain normative rights). The word is derived from xenos 'stranger'.
As guardians of civilization and mentors to lesser cultures, they will often take a role of teacher, public servant, advisor, or tutor. Especially in the service of influential people. They seek learning and wisdom.
While skilled at battle, war is considered a necessary evil. Martial skills should be honed, but not revered. Everyone is expected to contribute to common defense. More valuable are the arts that bind community together in all endeavors, such as rhetoric, song, poetry, theater, cooking, dance, etc.
Xenia means that from every great city to every humble village there should be a guest house dedicated to the traveling guest, you never know if it might be Zeus in disguise. (Greek pantheon)
